Shocked at these 5 star reviews

There is barely anything redeeming about this book.

This book is RIDDLED with spelling and grammatical errors - I finally put it down 30 pages in when in the same sentence she was stressing the importance of a college degree and excellent writing skills (which by the way, do I really need a book to tell me this when I'm already done my degree?), there were spelling errors and incorrect words used. There were literally sentences that didn't have spaces or where she started one sentence, and halfway through switched to the second half of another.

The sad part is that I love her website PR Couture and think it's great that she has passion to help young girls starting out, but this book lacked some SERIOUS direction. Not that I have all of the experience in the world, but I've had a REAL internship through my college experience and this book in my opinion perpetuates the idea that a job in the fashion industry is something any glamazon half-wit can do and that's just not the case. Unfortunately, this book destroyed her credibility in my eyes, and as a seasoned PR professional I'm shocked that Crosby put this out there.

My advice? Don't waste your money on a book that a high school dropout could have written with more finesse and just hit the pavement - find an internship and learn your way yourself because after this book? That's what you'll have to do anyway.

Who edited the kindle version?

I'm only 20% of the way through this book and I don't know if I'll be able to even finish it. I'm sure it gives great advice, but whoever edited the kindle version did not do a good job. I just started reading the "Fashion PR Agency"section and it begins mid-sentence. I never know when the author is transitioning out of a quote and I have had to fill in the blanks many times in order for a sentence to make any sense. Considering the author is supposed to be a publicist I would assume she would have caught many of these mistakes herself. I can only hope the physical version is better than this considering it has rave reviews.

You will be more amazed at the errors in this book

I have NEVER seen a book that was riddled with errors as this book. I actually follow Crosby online and I am ashamed that this book has her name on it. Trust me, you will not be paying attention to the content as much as you will be looking for the next error.

This book is filled with sentences that never stop (run ons), words placed wherever a heart desires, incomplete thoughts, unexisting punctuations, and a bunch of other MESS... If I had bought the actual book, it would be a prop on the floor to even out a table leg.

The Soul rules!

The world is so messed up (greatly because of religions) that I was feeling really depressed thinking there is no solution for all the horrible things going on now a days: war, economic distress, hunger, you name it!
I read Bob Emerick's book and the first thing I felt was hope. And that hope does not lay in some religious guru or spiritual guide but inside each and one of us. If could all just affirm our soul and let it rule our lives, our communities and finally the whole world would really, I mean, really be a better place.

The reality and importance of the Soul

I tend to avoid "self-help" books. While the cover design of "Soul Affirmation" resembles the stereotypical self-help book, this book is not so much about the Self helping us as the Soul doing so -- big difference. Although my copy does not bear the subtitle "Introduction to the Philosophy of Life," as indicated on Amazon, the book does in fact contain a profound and practical philosophy of life. It is also a radical re-evaluation of religion and particularly the Christian religion, which emphasizes the Garden of Eden story in the Bible at the expense of the first account of Creation and humanity's role within it in Genesis chapter one -- to disastrous personal and historical effect. I have extensive theological education, but never have I heard such a clear and compelling explanation of Christian theology combined with psychological and social understanding. Moreover, Rev. Robert Emerick consistently develops his understanding further, including in the field of current economic well-being, every Sunday at Bay Ridge United Methodist Church in Brooklyn, NY. Although I do not belong to his church, I attend the Sunday services there as often as I can to hear his most excellent and interesting sermons.

Inspirations Created by Soul Affirmation

Soul Affirmation is an illuminating and inspiring book that affects the human spirit and creates a sense of hope and positive spirituality in the readers. It touches on important idealogies found in religion, anthropology, and psychology. The way in which these ideas interface is very interesting and challenging; and I found myself revisiting some concepts I knew, but learning so many new ones.

I can honestly say that Soul Affirmation contributed to my own "journey into awakening" and Robert Emerick continues to challenge and uplift us with this book that shows us that we can walk with "courage and confidence."

I highly recommend Soul Affirmation to all those interested in exploring meaningful concepts that touch upon the spiritual, emotional, and mental parts of our being. Again, Robert Emerick writes a gem of a book and will continue to inspire his readers to be more aware of the "soul."

better than i expected
By ehhh???
while i wasn't expecting much..as it was a class requirement, it turned out to be a really interesting book. good job misa. the book had plenty of smaller details and focused primarily on the technology of the time. I can say that i did enjoy reading this book and will probably reread at some point in personal interest as I was reading maybe only 60-70% of the chapter's content, like i say school requirement, didn't really have the time to read intensely.

This book is actually really interesting. I enjoyed writing a paper about it, one of the few textbooks I actually read start to finish.
